Although they enjoyed the trip neither smiled much while were in Russia

The 200 ton bell was never rung. During the casting process a fire broke out in the foundry and water was used to extinguish it. The sudden cooling made the bell cracked and lose an 11 ton splinter.

The guy in this photo was a bit strange. He used to carry a descant recorder around with him and gave impromptu recitals
He entertained quite a few people, especially kids, this way in some of the places we went
