A special invitation from Emeritus Professor Peter Priest (1962 - 1998) and Tamara Philippova (Russian Hospitality
Chair) to all alumni and friends of Rose-Hulman, not just the hundreds of former students of Professor Peter Priest and
Professor Bill Picket, and Thad Smith who taught their remarkable courses involving Russia.
Unique Features of Professor Priest’s 2013 Tour
- A free phone card so you can call home to the U.S. from Moscow and St. Petersburg several times
- An emergency "unlocked" cell phone with a Russian SIM card and telephone number you can call the
group leader, interpreter, volunteer guide, or another group member at any time for help or advice if lost or
separated from the group.
- We have 10 eye-opening adventures to show what has become of the old Soviet experiment: the boom of
billionaire, the explosion of religious organizations, the fascination of free markets, and much more.
- For each of our eye-opening adventures you may select an individualized "breakaway smaller subgroup"
of four to six with an English speaking volunteer "tourist care-taker" to help you explore, what you
want, to see what you want to see, to do what you want, not what the herd is supposed to see and do.
