This looks like a collection of oil tanks. There were several fires at these tank farms due to lightning strikes over the years. Are the people in much danger from standing so close to this burning tank?

The hand-written note on the card is interesting, part of it reads...
"Thought you might like to see what Hotel Roy once was"
Presumably the person who received the card had only seen the burnt out building after it caught fire on January 25th, 1909. The above image is only included in this collection because of that fire which is pictured below. After carefully looking at both postcards I think the second one is the same image and that the "flames" have been added later.
