Anywhere with such a tidal range the tide comes in very fast. At the Bay of Fundy it can rise 3 vertical feet an hour

I like the bit about finding a rock above seaweed level and waiting.
Look at the picture above this one and see where the seaweed level is compared to the height of the people on the beach.
Climbing back up the stairs I was talking to Patty and probably said one of the most stupidest things ever. I said "we'll wait until high tide and go back down and take photos from the same places and compare them." I had 3 hours to either learn how to walk on water or hold my breath for a couple of hours.
