After lunch we got on one of the hydrofoils and took a trip along the Neva and the Gulf of Finland to Petrodvorets. Peter the Great who was 6' 7" tall, liked to play practical jokes on people and so when he built the Peterhof Palace and ground s which cover 2,500 acres in the early 18th century he had several hidden fountains built with which to soak his friends and guests.
