Nestled in the heart of Terre Haute, Indiana, the compact and modern Indiana State College
campus occupies more than 50 acres.
The above photograph was taken after Indiana State Teachers College had become Indiana State College in 1961. In 1965, the college changed names again, finally becoming Indiana State University.

Terre Haute, Indiana
Heart of the Indiana State College campus is the
Quadrangle which is rimmed with academic,
administrative, residence hall, and other buildings.
It is the original site of the first campus building,
back in 1870, and is used for out-door commencement
activities each June.

Opened in 1950, the Administration Building houses
all general administrative offices, the Student
Health Center, and the Computer Center, Offices
of the President, Vice-Presidents, Registrar,
Business Manager, and various deans are in this
building.

Indiana State College
Terre Haute, Indiana
Formerly the old Science Building, the completely
remodeled Business Building was opened for use
in 1962. The air-conditioned building has 16 classrooms
and laboratories for electronic shorthand,
secretarial practice, duplicating business machines,
and student study rooms.
