Erected in 1916 in Neo-Classic style at 224 N. Eighth Street it was designed by architect Archie H. Hubbard of Champaign, Illinois, the general contract cost was $93,556, which was partly funded by the sale of a lot the Masons owned at the corner of Eighth St. and Wabash Ave. The Masonic Temple features Bedford Buff Stone trim on the exterior, which includes many Masonic carvings.
