Historical Collectors Series
Exclusive Project by the House of Photography
Robert W. Harvey with the help of Dorothy J. Clark, Local Historian

Like all the Historical Collectors Series postcards this is a reproduction of a much earlier postcard.

On the left can be seen the Erwin block which contained Tune Brothers men's store, now the site of the transfer station of Terre Haute's bus service. Next to that is the Herz store, recognised by its awning. Further along can be seen the turrets of Terre Haute House. The large building on the right middle distance is the Terre Haute Trust building which was built in 1908.

I have another copy of this postcard that has an interesting stamp on the address side...

Eugene Debs commemorative stamp

Eugene Debs / Freedom of Conscience commemorative stamp

The stamp reads...

Freedom of Conscience - An American Right

While there is a lower class, I am in it;
While there is a criminal element, I am of it;
While there is a soul in prison, I am not free.
