This historic trail and picturesque Indian
thoroughfare skirts the west bank of the
Wabash River above the city of Lafayette. So named
for the famous Shawnee chieftain, Tecumseh,
greatest of Indian warriors, who is said to have
travelled it to and from location at Prophet's
Town prior to the Battle of Tippecanoe.
