Bristol - The Docks 2

This picture was taken in the 1980's

This picture was taken 20 years later.

The tower is still there, but the background has changed completely. The building is the Lloyds TSB bank headquarters. The @ Bristol centre is to the right of this building. With the decline of the docks, many companys were given incentives to move to Bristol, this and the rising costs of being based in London led many businesses to move to Bristol.

The red and cream buildings in the background are the Bristol Industrial Museum, which is well worth a visit, especially as it's free.

This set of old warehouses are further along the river, near Queen Square.
