Biography

Arcadio Esquivel is a well-known cartoonist, known as cartoonarcadio, and graphic artist. He was born in Alajuela, Costa Rica, on 10 January 1959. He graduated as a Caricaturist from the CEAC Institute in Spain, and also graduated in Advertising Designing from the University of Science and Arts of Costa Rica, in 1999. Arcadio Esquivel is a renouned Professor of cartooning at the University of Costa Rica, Fine Arts Cathedra.

He is also a producer of a TV show on Channel 13 of the government of Costa Rica called "El mundo de Arcadio", which is an educative program that teaches painting and drawing. He has been an Editor of 16 educative books, on art, cartooning and caricature.
