ARA Independencia ~ Ex HMS Warrior

In February 2003, Carlos Rufino (Machi), very kindly sent me the following images from the film "La muchachada de a bordo" of ARA Independencia.

In October 2003, I received an email from Ignacio Amendolara. He lives in Argentina and researches naval vessels. He told me Argentinian Naval aviator CF Hugo Frontroth who was the first officer to be launched on the Indepencdencia´s catapult on a F4U-5 Corsair. He also made the first arrested landing. Hugo was onboard the Warrior when she visited Puerto Belgrano and took many flight´s operations photos with British planes. Ignacio also sent me the following photograph of a NA5 Texan that operated on her flight deck that is kept in the Naval Museum at Tigre Buenos Aires.
