Throughout the albums dad has inserted photographs of the areas covered by HMS Gambia and HMS Warrior. Sometimes these are maps but usually just a list of places and dates. From these I have been able to produce the maps below.

The area bounded by the red line shows the area dad covered 1950 - 1955.

HMS Gambia reached Gibraltar on 3rd April 1950, Malta on the 11th and Benghazi on the 13th May. From there it appears that she sailed back to Malta.

1st Summer Cruise 1950

From leaving Malta on June 7, Alexandria was reached on June 7th, Port Said on the 18th, Beirut 21st, Famagusta ~ 24th, Athens ~ 1st July 1950, Marmarice ~ 13th. HMS Gambia reached Malta again on July 22nd 1950.

2nd Summer Cruise ~ Aug 29th - Oct 17th 1950

Thormina ~ 30th August 1950, Taranto ~ 1st September, Toulon ~ 15th, Marseilles ~ 19th, Anzio ~ 23rd, Trieste ~ 10th October 1950

Dragomesti ~ 3rd January 1951, Bizrata ~ 10th February and back to Gibraltar on 23rd February 1951.
